Pistons Choose Cunningham, Bulls Get Dosunmu In NBA Draft

The Detroit Pistons chose Oklahoma State point guard Cade Cunningham with the first pick in the National Basketball Association Draft Thursday night at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The Houston Rockets chose G League Ignite team shooting guard Jalen Green with the second pick. USC center Evan Mobley was taken third by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Florida State forward Scottie Barnes was chosen fourth by the Toronto Raptors. Gonzaga guard Jalen Suggs was picked fifth by the Orlando Magic.

The Chicago Bulls picked First-Team AP All-American and Illinois junior point guard Ayo Dosunmu. He was chosen No. 38 in the second round.

 

Lakers Agree To Acquire Westbrook

The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a deal with the Washington Wizards to acquire Russell Westbrook in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and the Number 22 pick in Thursday night’s NBA draft, ESPN reported Thursday. Westbrook posted a thank you message to D.C. on social media Thursday night.
