Stan Van Gundy has signed on to be the New Orleans Pelicans' new head coach, reportedly agreeing to a four-year deal with the National Basketball Association team.

He is replacing Alvin Gentry, who was let go after the Pelicans missed the playoffs this season. Van Gundy has been head coach for the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and most recently the Detroit Pistons, who he was with from 2014 to 2018.Stan

Penn State's Pat Chambers Resigns

Penn State men's basketball head coach Pat Chambers resigned Wednesday following a probe by the school of allegations of inappropriate conduct.

Penn State said new allegations surfaced after ‘The Undefeated’ reported in July that Rasir Bolton, who transferred to Iowa State in 2019, said he left because Chambers made a reference to a noose around Bolton's neck, telling him, “I need to get some of this pressure off you. I want to loosen the noose that's around your neck.”
