Louisville received a notice from the NCAA Monday of alleged recruiting violations by its men’s basketball program. They included alleged improper recruiting offers for former player Brian Bowen II and an accusation that Hall of Fame former coach Rick Pitino failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance.

Pitino, who’s now coaching at Iona, has consistently denied authorizing or having knowledge of a payment to a recruit’s family.
