Lady Hearts Down Lady Shoes

The Effingham Lady Hearts won their 18th straight game Friday night, defeating the Lady Shoes at Teutopolis, 52-42.  The game was heard on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.

Effingham was up 6-4 after one quarter, led 19-10 at halftime, and held a 36-22 lead after three quarters.

Caitlin Kaufman led Effingham with 17 points and eight rebounds while Josie Zerrusen scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds.  Also for Effingham: Kelli Utz and Stephanie Robb eight points each, Lauren Stephenson four points, and Felicia Totten three points.

Madeline Hartke led Teutopolis with 16 points and Cierra Thompson added 12 points.  Also for T-Town: Haley Giles six points, Jessica Schumacher four points, and Danielle Repking and Chelsey Hardiek two points each.

Effingham improved to 22-3 on the season while Teutopolis slipped to 18-7.

Teutopolis won the JV game 35-15.
