District Elks Hoop Shoot Advances One To State

PANA -- Kelsey Partlow advanced to State after competing in the District Elks Hoop Shoot Saturday.

There were five Elks lodges shooting at Pana and those included Pana, Robinson, Effingham, Champaign-Urbana and Paris. Partlow, of Neoga, competed in the girls 10-11 year old division and finished first by connecting on 16 free throws out of 25 attempts. She will head to Decatur Saturday, February 16.

Girls 8-9 year-olds -- Kylee Phillips (Neoga), third with nine of 25

Girls 12-13 year-olds -- Becca Webster (Effingham Sacred Heart), third with 13 out of 25

Boys 8-9 year-olds -- Brendan Niebrugge (St. Anthony), fourth with 15 out of 25

Boys 10-11 year-olds -- Donovan Delaney (Altamont), second with 17 out of 25

Boys 12-13 year-olds -- Trevor Quast (Stewardson-Strasburg), third with 16 out of 25
