Mitchell Stevenson Eyes Track, Basketball at Illinois College

Altamont High School senior Mitchell Stevenson has signed a letter of intent to continue his athletic career at Illinois College in Jacksonville.

Stevenson has had success in both track and in basketball and said he plans to try both in college. He said his original plan was to concentrate in track, but Altamont's success and his success in basketball including becoming a 1000-point career scorer is prompting him to consider walking on for that sport.

Stevenson is hoping to major in Sports Marketing with an eye toward ticket sales for a franchise in the Chicago or Indianapolis markets.
