Brownstown/St. Elmo Edges Altamont in Girls Action, 48-43

BROWNSTOWN -- Brownstown/St Elmo edged Altamont 48-45 in National Trail Conference girls basketball action Tuesday evening.

The Bombers trailed Altamont 13-12 after the opening quarter. Altamont's Madison Ohnesorge got the Indians off in the right direction by scoring nine points.

The Indians had the momentum, pushing their lead to 21-16 going into the lockerroom at halftime. However, the second half belonged all to the Bombers. Brownstown/St. Elmo came back with a 15-12 third quarter run to tie the score at 33-33. Then in the final period, the Bombers connected on their free throws and outscored Altamont 15-10 to pull out the win.

Bethany Oberlink tallied 14 points while teammate Audriana Pruett scored 12. Altamont was led by M. Ohnesorge with 15 and Lauren Ohnesorge with 11.
