Effingham St. Anthony and Effingham split freshman/sophomore boys basketball victories Monday evening.

The Hearts claimed the freshman contest 64-55. EHS took a 16-10 opening quarter lead and led 29-18 at halftime. St. Anthony came back with a 19-12 third period but the Hearts regained momentum for a 23-18 final period.

Wolfe tallied 30 points for the Hearts, connecting on six baskets, including two three-pointers, and was 16 of 20 at the line. Also in double figures was Ducaw with 11.

Leading St. Anthony were Logan Antrim with 19 points, Justin Ruholl with 17 and Eli Moore with 10.

In sophomore play, St. Anthony won 55-23. The Bulldogs edged out to an 8-7 opening quarter lead then led 20-14 at halftime. St. Anthony had a big scoring third period for a 22-2 run to lead 42-16.

Kayden Fearday scored 14 for the winners while Jack Hoene added nine.

EHS was led by Pemberton with seven points.
