Nov. 30 Boys Junior High Games

St. Anthony won the 8th grade game, while Effngham won the 7th grade game as the two city schools squared off in boys junior high basketball.

St. Anthony won the 8th grade game 29-19. For St. Anthony: Stewart 10, Mendella 8, Blanchette 4, Kemme 3, Niebrugge 2, Chojnicki 2. For Effingham: Fox 5, Pals 4, Volpi 4, Matteson 4 with 11 rebounds, Pemberton 2.

Effingham won the 7th grade game 43-36. For Effingham: Pontious 10, Westendorf 9, Donaldson 8, Wolfe 8, Thompson 4, Estrada 4. For St. Anthony: Sehy 12, Sager 7, Willenborg 6, Levitt 4, Walsh 3, Hoene 2, Wines 2. Effingham 7th graders are now 9-1 on the season. St. Anthony 7th graders are 6-3.

Teutopolis and Vandalia split boys junior high games Thursday.

Teutopolis won the 7th grade game 37-30, while Vandalia won the 8th grade game 27-23.

In the 7th grade game, Derek Niemerg led Teutopolis with 15 points and Logan Roepke scored 10 points. Also for T-Town: James Niebrugge 5, Tyler Schwerdt 3, and Brendan Niebrugge and Ben Goeckner 2 apiece.

In the 8th grade game, Cade Buehnerkemper led Teutopolis with 8 points. Also for T-Town: Derek Konkel 5, Collin Probst 4, Kendall Schmidt 4, and Josh Burrell 2.

Stewardson-Strasburg swept a pair from Sacred Heart.

Stew-Stras won the 7th grade game 41-15. For Stew-Stras: J. Wittenburg 19, A. Wittenburg 14, Nothaus 4, Jackson 2, Davis 2. For Sacred Heart: Tegeler 7, Lohman 5, Wiedman 3

Stew-Stras won the 8th grade game 38-29. For Stew-Stras: Wernsing 19, Vonderheide 5, Beals 5, Kirby 4, Lankow 3, Gracey 2. For Sacred Heart: Zerrusen 15, Feldhake 10, Sherrod 3, McDevitt 1.

Stew-Stras 7th graders are 11-0 on the season, while the 8th graders are 3-9.

Altamont won the 7th grade game 37-21, while CHBC won the 8th grade game 47-23.

North Clay won the 8th grade game 53-43, and won the 7th grade game 38-37.
