Effingham Sacred Heart split with Neoga in junior high girls basketball play Thursday.

The Shamrocks won the seventh-grade contest 19-7. Carie led the winners with 10 points.

In the eighth-grade contest, Neoga won 20-10. Roy led Neoga with nine points while S. Webster led Sacred Heart with seven.

At St. Anthony

Teutopolis came calling and picked up two wins over Effingham St. Anthony.

In seventh-grade play, T-town beat St. Anthony 17-7. Macy Michels led the winners with nine points while Marianna Hemmen had eight. T-town is now 1-0.

In the eighth-grade game, T-town was a 28-14 winner. Raegan Drees tallied 10 points for the winners. Abbie Schmidt led St. Anthony with six. T-town improves to 1-0.

Jasper County picked up wins over Robinson. Jasper County was a 24-12 winner in seventh-grade action.

Frohning tallied 16 points for the winners.

In eighth-grade play, Jasper County won 31-18. Madison Stanley scored 12 and Ariel Richards 11.

At Stew-Stras

Stewardson-Strasburg and Brownstown split wins. Stew-Stras was a winner in seventh-grade action 20-11. Tabbert and Davis led the winners with nine points each. Stew-Stras improves to 1-0 in the National Trail Conference, 1-1 overall.

In eighth-grade action, Brownstown was a 37-13 winner. Brown had 24 points for the winners.  Stew-Stras drops to 0-1 in the conference, 0-2 overall.
