Beecher City Drops Two, Altamont Wins Two

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick played host to Vandalia in junior high girls basketball action Tuesday.
Vandalia was a 16-11 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick was led by Taylor Oldham with nine points. The loss drops BCCH to 0-2 overall.
In eighth-grade play, Vandalia was a 27-18 winner. Vandalia held a 13-10 halftime lead then had a 14-8 second half run. Hollinshead tallied 13 points for the winners. Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick was led by Skylar Morrison and Hope Barnes with eight points each. BCCH drops to 0-2 and will be back in action Friday against Ramsey.

At Dieterich
Altamont captured two wins over Dieterich in seventh- and eighth-grade play Tuesday evening.
Altamont won the seventh-grade contest 41-3, leading 21-3 at halftime. Carly McHugh tallied 12 points for the winners while Shelbi Stone scored 10.
In the eighth-grade game, Altamont led 27-3 at halftime and went on for a 37-12 victory. Keidron Duckwitz scored 12 and Elizabeth Biggs had 10.
