Altamont Junior High School won the championship of the Vandalia Eighth-Grade Girls Basketball Tournament. Altamont defeated Brownstown 39-16 in the championship game to win the Vandalia Tournament. Altamont held a 23-4 first half lead and never looked back. Three players hit double digits, Elizabeth Biggs with 12 points, Brooke Burns with 11 and Keidron Duckwitz with 10.

Vandalia Seventh-Grade Tournament
Altamont also captured the seventh-grade tournament by defeating Brownstown 29-20 in the title contest.
Altamont held a slight 11-10 halftime lead but pushed that to 21-12 going into the final quarter and held off Brownstown. Shelbi Stone led the winners with 17 points.
