Altamont Wins Over Brownstown Twice in Girls JH Basketball

Altamont won twice Friday over Brownstown in girls junior high basketball.

Altamont won the 8th grade game 24-17, while taking the 7th grade contest 23-6.

In the eighth grade game, Altamont led 8-0 after the first quarter, 16-7 at halftime, and 23-12 after three quarters.

For Altamont: Keidron Duckwitz and Elizabeth Biggs scored eight points each, McKenzie Goldstein four, Shelby Sims two and Brooks Burns one.  For Brownstown, Brown scored eight points, Da. Shelton five, and De. Shelton and Boron two points each.

In the seventh grade game, Altamont was ahead 6-2 after one quarter, 12-2 at halftime and 23-6 after three quarters.

For Altamont: Carly McHugh, Jayci Hosick and Shelbi Stone scored six points each, Hanna Wolff four points, and Ashley Goeckner scored a point. 

For Brownstown: Viramontes scored four points and Parkison scored two points.
