Sacred Heart, Altamont Claims Two Victories

Effingham Sacred Heart picked up two victories in junior high school girls baskeball action Thursday.
The Shamrocks won the seventh-grade contest over Dieterich 31-17. Carie tallied 10 points to lead Sacred Heart.
In eighth-grade play, Sacred Heart won 37-17. S. Webster was the point leader with 11.

At Vandalia
Altamont, competing in the Vandalia Tournament, captured victories in both seventh- and eighth-grade play.
Altamont won the seventh-grade contest over Brownstown 23-6. Altamont held a 12-2 halftime lead. Three players scored six points, Carly McHugh, Jayci Hosick and Shelbi Stone.
In eighth-grade action, Altamont downed Brownstown 24-17. Keidron Duckwitz and Elizabeth Biggs had eight points each to guide Altamont.
