EIU Ranked in Mid-Major Top 25

Riding a nine game win streak Eastern Illinois has been ranked in the Mid-Major Top 25 poll heading into its Thursday home game with Murray State. The Panthers moved into the Mid-Major Top 25 at No. 23 following road wins at Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State. EIU is now 12-6 overall, 6-0 in the OVC. The Panthers will host Murray State on Thursday night at 8 p.m. on CBS Sports. Thursday is BLUE OUT LANTZ NIGHT, all fans are encouraged to wear Blue.
 
Murray State is 15-4 overall, 5-0 in the OVC having moved up to No. 8 in this week’s poll. Murray State has the third longest active winning streak in the nation entering the game with 13 straight wins. Only Kentucky and Virginia have longer win streaks this season. EIU currently has the seventh longest active winning streak at nine.
