ALTAMONT -- Altamont Junior High School captured both seventh and eighth-grade girls basketball victories over Stewardson-Strasburg Friday.
Altamont claimed the seventh-grade contest 24-12. Altamont led 12-5 at halftime. M. Guse tallied 14 points for the winners.
In the eighth-grade game, Altamont won 26-22. J. Schultz and L. Mayhaus scored 11 points each for the winners. Stew-Stras was led by K. Davis with eight.

At Beecher City
Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick defeated Ramsey in both games Friday. BCCH won the seventh-grade contest 28-7. Lauren Wojcik tallied 14 points for the winners.
In eighth-grade action, BCCH was a 43-8 winner. BCCH held a 27-4 halftime lead. Grace Smith scored 18 points.
