Spurs Bounce Mavericks

(Dallas, TX) -- The race for the final two spots in the West tightened up as the Mavericks suffered a 109-100 loss to the Spurs at American Airlines Center.  Dallas holds the eighth spot, percentage points behind the Suns and a game ahead of the Grizzlies. The Mavs close out the season hosting the Suns on Saturday and at the Grizzlies on Wednesday. Tim Duncan led San Antonio with 20 points and 15 rebounds, while Patty Mills scored a game-high 26 points. Kawhi Leonard posted a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards helping the Spurs move to 61-18. Monta Ellis tallied 24 points, four rebounds and four assists in the loss.

Faried Sinks Warriors In Last Second

(Oakland, CA) -- Kenneth Faried tallied 18 points and 17 rebounds and hit a one-hander over Draymond Green with 0.6 seconds left to lift the Nuggets over the Warriors 100-99 in Oakland. Timofey Mozgov scored 23 points and grabbed an NBA season high 29 boards. Randy Foye chipped in 20 points and seven dimes for Denver, which out-rebounded Golden State 63-to-38.  Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 24 points, seven boards and six assists. Klay Thompson helped out with 21 points for Golden State, which failed in it's attempt to clinch a playoff spot.

Bulls Ink James, Amundson

The Bulls battle the Pistons at the United Center tonight. The Bulls are 46-32 after a win over Minnesota on Wednesday. Detroit is 29-50. Chicago is in a fight with Toronto for the three seed in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors and Bulls are tied but Toronto owns the tiebreaker.
