UConn Runs Past Kentucky For Fourth Title

(Arlington, TX) -- Connecticut is celebrating its fourth national championship after defeating Kentucky 60-54 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Shabazz Napier had 22 points with six rebounds, three assists and three steals to earn Most Outstanding Player honors. The Huskies last won it all in 2011. Ryan Boatright added 14 points while Niels Giffey poured in 10 points with five rebounds. UConn never trailed and had a 15-point lead in the first half but led by just four at halftime. James Young led the Wildcats with 20 points and seven rebounds while Julius Randle chipped in with 10 points and six boards  Kentucky was aiming for its ninth championship and second in three years, but instead shot 13-of-24 from the free throw line in the loss.


Notre Dame Women Face UConn Tonight

(Nashville, TN) -- The 37-0 Notre Dame women's basketball team goes for a national championship tonight against 39-0 Connecticut. The Fighting Irish defeated Maryland in Sunday's Final Four while UConn got past Stanford. Tip from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena is set for 7:30.
