Heat Knock Off Knicks

(Miami, FL) -- LeBron James led the way with 38 points, six assists and five rebounds as the Heat knocked off the Knicks 102-91 at AmericanAirlines Arena. Mario Chalmers chipped in with 15 points and Chris Bosh had 14 for the Heat, who have won five-of-six to move one game ahead of Indiana for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. J.R. Smith set a Knicks' record with 10 three-pointers en route to 32 points. He also set a pair of NBA records with 22 attempts from long distance in a single game and 24 made three-pointers over a three-game span. Tyson Chandler posted 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Carmelo Anthony was held to 13 points on 4-of-17 shooting in the setback. New York is now two games behind Atlanta for the final playoff spot in the East.


Clippers Crush Lakers

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Blake Griffin and Chris Paul pumped in 23 points apiece to lead the host Clippers to a 120-97 rout of the Lakers at Staples Center.  J.J. Redick added 15 points for the Clippers, who improved to 32-and-6 at home this season. DeAndre Jordan logged a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Pacific Division champions. The Clippers have won 18 of their last 21 games overall to improve to 55-23. Jordan Hill led the Lakers' attack with 22 points and Nick Young added 18 off the bench.  The Lakers dropped their fourth in-a-row and are last in the Pacific Division at 25-52.


Hawks Handle Pacers

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Jeff Teague tallied 25 points to carry the Hawks by the Pacers 107-88 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Atlanta held Indiana to a franchise-low 23 first-half points. Paul Millsap added 17 points and 11 rebounds for Atlanta, which is now two games up on the Knicks for the final postseason spot in the East. Pero Antic registered 18 points and six boards in the win. Paul George totaled 18 points, seven rebounds and six steals for Indiana, which is currently a game behind Miami for the top spot in the East. David West turned in 13 points, six rebounds and six assists in the loss.


Mavericks Nip Kings

(Sacramento, CA) -- Monta Ellis scored a team-best 23 points to lift the Mavericks to a 93-91 win against the Kings in Sacramento. Vince Carter tallied 17 points off the bench for Dallas, which is half a game up on the Suns for the seventh seed in the West. Dirk Nowitzki added 15 points but was 5-of-17 from the floor. Rudy Gay scored 32 points with eight assists and six rebounds in the loss. DeMarcus Cousins chipped in with 28 points and 10 boards for Sacramento, which has lost two straight.


Rockets Outlast Nuggets In OT

(Houston, TX) -- James Harden exploded for 32 points with 10 assists as the Rockets outlasted the Nuggets 130-125 in overtime from the Toyota Center. Omer Asik had 18 points with 23 rebounds while Jeremy Lin chipped in 19 points. Dwight Howard missed the game with an injured left ankle. Houston has won two straight since a three-game slide. Aaron Brooks had 24 points, 15 assists and eight rebounds for Denver. Evan Fournier added 26 points off the bench for the Nuggets, who are losers in six of their last seven.


Spurs Handle Grizzlies

(San Antonio, TX) -- Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili each had 26 points to power the Spurs in a 112-92 win over the Grizzlies in San Antonio. Tim Duncan added 13 points and five rebounds while Tony Parker chipped in 10 points. San Antonio bounced back after seeing its 19-game win streak ended by the Thunder on Thursday. The Spurs reached the 60-win mark and remain atop the Western Conference by four games over Oklahoma City. James Johnson led Memphis with 20 points off the bench. Mike Conley scored 18 points and dished six assists as the Grizzlies lost their fourth in six games. Memphis sits a game behind Phoenix for the final playoff spot in the West.


Suns Take Down Thunder

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Goran Dragic scored 26 points with five assists to help the Suns to a 122-115 win over the Thunder at U.S. Airways Center. Gerald Green added 24 points off the bench while P.J. Tucker finished with 22 points. Phoenix won its second straight and has a one-game lead on Memphis for the West's final playoff spot. Kevin Durant had 38 points and 11 rebounds to lead Oklahoma City. That gives Durant 41 straight games with at least 25 points pushing him past Michael Jordan for third place on the NBA's all-time list. Russell Westbrook had 33 points and eight assists for OKC, which has lost two straight since a three-game win streak. The Thunder sit 4 1/2 games back of the Spurs for the top spot in the West.


Warriors Whip Jazz

(Oakland, CA) -- Steph Curry hit 12-of-18 shots and 5-of-10 from long range en route to NBA history in the Warriors' 130-102 win over the Jazz in Oakland.  Curry ended with 31 points and 16 assists becoming the first player in NBA history to surpass 30 points and 15 assists in under 30 minutes played. Klay Thompson hit seven threes as he finished with 33 points for Golden State, which is a game and a half up on the Suns for the six spot in the West. Trey Burke tallied 24 points and 15 assists for Utah, which has lost six of seven. Alec Burks added 24 points off the bench in defeat.


Blazers Beat Pelicans, Clinch Postseason Berth

(Portland, OR) -- LaMarcus Aldridge posted 25 points with 18 rebounds to lift the Trail Blazers to a 100-94 win over the Pelicans at the Moda Center.  Nicolas Batum added 16 points and 12 boards for Portland, which clinched a postseason berth in the Western Conference with the win. Wesley Matthews had 21 points and Damian Lillard added 20 in the win. Anthony Morrow scored a team-high 17 points off the bench for New Orleans, which has lost five straight.  Anthony Davis chipped in with 15 points and four blocks in defeat.


Bulls Back In Action Wednesday

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Bulls are back on the court this Wednesday as they face the Timberwolves in Minnesota. Chicago rolled to a win over the Wizards in DC on Saturday, improving to 45-32 on the season. With just five games left, the Bulls sit tied for the third spot in the Eastern Conference.
