Magic Beat Blazers To Snap Nine-Game Skid

(Orlando, FL) -- Tobias Harris recorded 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Magic past the Trail Blazers 95-85 at Amway Center. Nikola Vucevic added 22 points and 10 boards for the Magic, who put an end to their nine-game losing streak. Victor Oladipo had 13 points, six assists and five boards in the victory. Robin Lopez notched 20 points and 13 boards to pace Portland, which fell to 0-3 on its five-game east coast road trip. Wesley Matthews scored 18 points and Damian Lillard donated 17 in the setback.


Mavericks Creep Past Thunder In OT

(Dallas, TX) -- Dirk Nowitzki went off for 32 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead the Mavericks to a crucial, 128-119, overtime win over the Thunder at American Airlines Center. Nowitzki scored seven of Dallas' points in OT as they outscored Oklahoma City, 17-8. Jose Calderon knocked down six threes on his to 22 points for the Mavs, who pulled a half-game ahead of the Suns for the final playoff spot in the West with a 43-29 record. Kevin Durant exploded for 43 points, six assists and five boards in the loss. Russell Westbrook contributed 23 points, eight dimes and seven rebounds for Oklahoma City, which trails the Spurs by 2 1/2 games for the top-seed.


Lakers Demolish Knicks

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Lakers used a 51-point third quarter to crush the Knicks, 127-96, at STAPLES Center. The 51 points was the most points scored in a quarter by Los Angeles and the most given up by New York, in history for both teams. Xavier Henry posted 22 points off the bench, while Nick Young added 20. The Lakers shot 58-percent from the field and connected on 18-of-28 from deep on their way to a second straight win. Carmelo Anthony posted a game-high 29 points in the loss. Tim Hardaway Junior chipped in 17 off the bench for New York, which lost a second straight game and fell four behind the Hawks in the loss column for the final playoff spot in the East.


Bulls Battle Trail Blazers Friday

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bulls have a few more days before getting back on the court. Chicago plays host to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night at United Center. The Bulls are 40-and-31 this season, good for third in the Eastern Conference.
