Notre Dame Falls To Wake Forest

(Greensboro, NC) -- Four starters finished in double digits but the Fighting Irish fell 81-69 to Wake Forest in the first round of the ACC Tournament. Pat Connaughton led the way with 19 points and Zach Auguste added 14 and nine rebounds. Eric Atkins turned in a 13 point seven assist performance in the loss and Garrick Sherman added 12. Notre Dame finishes the season with a 15-17 record.

 

Illinois Ready For Hoosiers

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Illinois is the number nine-seed heading into the Big-10 tournament and will take on Indiana in first round action this afternoon.  Illinois finished the regular season with a 7-11 conference record and split games with Indiana during the regular season. The Hoosiers finished at 7-11 and grabbed the eight-seed in the tournament.

 

Northwestern Faces Iowa

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Wildcats will take on the Hawkeyes of Iowa tonight in the opening round of the Big-10 tournament. Northwestern finished the season with a 6-12 conference record, giving them the eleventh-seed in the tournament. The Wildcats won their finale against Purdue, snapping a seven-game losing streak. Northwestern lost both games to Iowa by scores of 93-67 and 76-50.
