EHS Boys Season Comes To An End

SALEM -- Effingham High School saw its boys basketball season come to an end Wednesday evening in the Class 3A Salem Regional.

The Hearts fell to Olney 35-32. The Tigers took an 8-6 opening quarter lead behind two three-pointers by Ethan Eagleson and Madden. The Hearts were within 14-11 at halftime and came back to outscore Olney 10-9 in the third period to pull within 23-21 going into the final quarter. Marcus Robinson knocked down two three-pointers in the third quarter for the Hearts.

But the Tigers held control and had a 12-11 edge for the three-point win. Madden led the Tigers with 12 points.

Effingham was led by Leighton Lark with 10 points and Robinson with nine.
