Brownstown/St. Elmo, Windsor/Stew-Stras Pick Up Baseball Wins

RAMSEY -- Brownstown/St. Elmo broke open a close game with an 11-run sixth inning and went on to end the contest 16-3 over Ramsey in Egyptian-Illini Conference baseball play Monday.

BSE led 2-1 until the fourth. Both teams tallied two runs and BSE led 4-3 then scored a run in the fifth. But the game broke wide open in the sixth as BSE tallied 11 runs. Levi Maxey pitched a five-hitter with three walks and 11 strikeouts.

Maxey also had a single and double while Dalton Parks led the way with two singles, a double and four RBI. Dustin Lawson and Malachi Maxey had two singles each. Maxey drove in three runs and Lawson two.

Brownstown/St. Elmo is now 3-1 in the EIC, 9-7 overall.

At Beecher City

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg claimed a 7-2 National Trail Conference win over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick. W/SS took a 2-0 first inning lead and led 5-0 before BCCH tallied two runs in the fifth.

Moschenrose led the winners with a single, double and two RBI. Nichols added two singles.

BCCH was led by Austin Rexroad with a double and an RBI. The Eagles drop to 0-5 in the National Trail Conference.
