The Effingham Junior High Mustangs continued their winning ways by defeating St. Anthony, 10-0 in five innings at Bulldog Field Thursday.

Brett Koester pitched four innings to earn the win while Alec Morrissey pitched the last inning to complete the shutout. Koester helped himself offensively with a single, two doubles and by scoring three runs in the contest. Bryce Lohman had two doubles while Mason Hull hit a single, double and had three runs batted in. Ryan Sandifer had a double and an RBI and Adam Levitt a single and two RBI. Blake Lohman had two singles and two RBI while Dylan Bushur had a single and an RBI. Kendal Ballman completed the offensive attack with a single.

Walsh and Utz hit a single each for St. Anthony. The Bullpups drop to 2-2.

The Mustangs also won the B game by a 8-0 score. The Mustangs are now a perfect 4-0 and will play Jasper County today at 4 p.m. at Effingham Hearts Field.

Dieterich broke loose with six runs in the first inning and tacked on six more in the second for a 12-1 victory over Brownstown/St. Elmo.

Campton pitched a five inning no-hitter. Hitting for the winners were Radloff with a two-run homer, Esker with a single and double and Schmidt with two singles. Dieterich improves to 2-0 and is back in action today at St. Anthony.

Altamont Lutheran pounded Beecher City to the tune of 18-2. Jahraus picked up the pitching win while Jeff Stoldt suffered the loss. No other information was provided.

Altamont took a quick 4-0 lead and never looked back in blasting Cumberland 14-1 in five innings via the 10-run rule.

Alek Biggs pitched the one-hitter with three walks and three strikeouts. Leading hitters for the winners were Runge with two singles, a double and four RBI, Pemberton with a triple, grand slam home run and seven RBI, Reardon with a single and triple and Black with two singles.

North Clay (Louisville) blasted Patoka 16-0 in four innings behind a 14-hit attack.

Jones had a single, double and an RBI for the winners while Zimmerman, Aldrich and Zimdars had two singles each. Aldrich had two RBI while Zimdars had one. Repking had a double and drove in two runs.

Aldrich and Bloemer combined to pitch a no-hitter allowing one walk each. Aldrich had six strikeouts while Bloemer had four.
