BABE RUTH PREP LEAGUE

Niemerg Construction took a 4-0 first inning lead and went on to bounce Effingham Asphalt 14-3 in four innings.Niemerg had a six-run fourth.

Adam Levitt pitched a no-hitter. Ryan Matheny led the hitting for Niemerg Construction with two singles, a double and three RBI. Donovan Godert had a double.

In the second contest, JCR Carpentry claimed a 12-10 win over Taylor Law Offices. JCR took a 9-3 first inning lead but Taylor Law fought back with a six-run third to tie the score. JCR tallied a run in the bottom of the third to push ahead 10-9 but Taylor Law came back to tie in the top of the fourth. However, JCR scored two more in the bottom of the frame for the win.

Brett Koester hit a two-run inside-the-park home run. He also added a single and finished with three RBI. Ben Meinhart led Taylor Law with three singles and an RBI while Bryce McClain had two singles and three RBI.

JUNIOR BABE RUTH LEAGUE

Sehy and Jones claimed a 10-7 victory over Tri-Power Towing in action at Paul Smith Field Monday evening.

Tri-Power Towing broke a 2-2 tie with a three-run third then pushed ahead 7-2 in the top of the third. Sehy and Jones came back with three runs in the bottom of the third, a run in the fourth and four in the fifth.

Both teams had five hits. Jason Kenter had a single, double and an RBI while Caleb Martin had a single, two doubles and two RBI for Tri-Power. Sehy and Jones was led by Adam Bonnell with two singles and an RBI and Taylor Martin with a single, double, triple and two RBI.

In the second contest, Trophies Unlimited claimed a 5-2 victory over Midland States Bank. Trophies Unlimited took a 3-0 first inning lead and was never headed.

Trophies Unlimited had five hits in the contest led by Jacob Roepke with a double, triple and an RBI. Midland was led by Bryan Jansen with two doubles.
