Tingley Insurance Wins Prep League Contest Over Effingham Asphalt; Trophies Unlimited, Washington Savings Bank, K. Wohltman Construction Win in Junior League Play

Tingley Insurance won in Prep League action Friday night at Evergreen Hollow Park, while Trophies Unlimited, Washington Savings Bank and K. Wohltman Construction were victorious in Junior League action at Paul Smith Field at Community Park.

In the Prep League contest, Tingley Insurance won over Effingham Asphalt 12-7.  Three in the first, five runs in the third and four more in the fifth won the game for Tingley.  Effingham Asphalt scored three times in the first, and twice each in the fifth and sixth innings.  Tingley scored their runs on five hits, while Asphalt had eight hits.

Paul Thoele got the win, while Alec Morrisey took the loss.

At the plate for Tingley Insurance: Ryan Sandifer tripled and singled and drove in two runs...Cole Hoene doubled...Zach Keitel singled...and Derek Kruger singled and drove in a run.

At the plate for Effingham Asphalt: Alec Morrisey doubled twice and singled and drove in a run...Kaleb Blake singled twice and drove in a run...Jack Nuxoll singled and drove in a run...Ryan Radloff singled...and Bryson Cutts singled and drove in two runs.

In Junior League play...Trophies Unlimited won the opener, defeating Tri-Power Towing 12-5. 

Tyler Westendorf got the win in two innings of work, allowing no earned runs on two hits and striking out six.  Ethan Greene took the loss.

Trophies Unlimited scored six runs in both the first and second to put the game away early.  Tri-Power scored its five runs in the fourth inning.

At the plate for Trophies Unlimited: Tyler Westendorf tripled and doubled twice...and Ryan Kremer singled and drove in two runs.

At the plate for Tri-Power Towing: Caleb Martin doubled...and Mat Weber singled and walked.

Washington Savings Bank won 12-3 over Mid-Illinois Concrete in the middle game.

After Mid-Illinois scored its three runs in the second inning, Washington scored seven runs in the second and added two runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth inning for the win.

Washington scored runs on five hits, the same number as Mid-Illinois totaled. 

Blake Kitten got the win, allowing three runs on six hits in five innings of work while striking out four.  Noah Flowers was the losing pitcher.

At the plate for Washington Savings Bank: Kyle Pease doubled and singled twice and drove in three runs...Austin Rexroad singled twice and drove in three runs.

At the plate for Mid-Illinois Concrete: Brent Beals singled twice and drove in a run...Carson Hartke singled twice and drove in a run...Ryan Huelsbusch singled and drove in a run.

In the final game, K. Wohltman Construction won over Midland States Bank 12-2.

Wohltman scored a run in the first, two each in the second and third, four in the fourth and three times in the fifth for the win.  Midland scored its two runs in the fourth.

Derrick Moschenrose got the win, allowing two runs but no hits while walking four in three inings of work.  Connor Mette took the loss.

Wohltman totaled seven hits; Midland had just one hit.

Cody Grove singled for the only hit for Midland States Bank.

At the plate for K. Wohltman Construction: Derrick Moschenrose doubled three times and singled and drove in four runs...Blake Nichols singled twice and drove in a run.
