Cal Ripken Tournament -- July 9

Northside Ford and Rhodes Chiropractic picked up opening round wins in the Cal Ripken League Tournament Tuesday evening at Community Park.
Northside tallied 18 runs to down Arrow Pest Control 18-7 in five innings. Northside took a 2-0 first inning lead then had a seven-run second. Arrow came back with seven runs in the third but Northside tallied four more in the fourth and five more in the fifth.
Bryson Wall had four singles and drove in five runs. Jacob Hammer had a single, double and two RBI while Davis Tingley had three singles and three RBI.
Connor Reardon led Arrow with a triple and two RBI.
Northside advances to meet Kingery Printing Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
In the second game, Rhodes Chiropractic claimed a 20-11 win over Kemper CPA. Rhodes had two seven-run innings in the fourth and seventh. Kemper scored nine runs in the fifth.
Rhodes had 15 hits in the contest led by Cole Marxman and Alex Brandenburger with a single, double and two RBI. Trenton Tuttle had a double and an RBI.
Kemper was led by Dylan Guy and Eli Moore with two singles each. Guy drove in three runs while Moore had two RBI.
Rhodes advances to meet NAPA Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
