The Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament opened play Tuesday evening at Community Park.
In the first contest, Heritage Builders blanked Brown's Drug Store 18-0 in five innings. Nate Thompson pitched a one-hitter while aiding his own cause with two singles, two triples and five RBI. Jacob Johnson had a single, double and three RBI while Kalean Reardon had a double and two RBI and Nick Burgess a double. Dylan Cunningham, Trey Minter and Wade Lawrence had two singles each. Minter and Lawrence drove in two runs each.
Blake Thompson had the lone hit for Brown's with a single.
Heritage Builders advances to the second round against top-seeded Sherwin Williams Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
In the second contest, South Central FS defeated Dan Hecht Chevrolet 8-4. Dan Hecht held a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth inning. South Central FS came roaring back with five runs in the bottom of the frame to pull out the win.
Max Woelfer had two singles and a triple while Brody Niebrugge and Gabe Kihne had a double each for the winners. Kihne drove in two runs while Niebrugge had one RBI. Kennan Walsh added two singles and an RBI.
Brennan Beck had a single and double while Tristen Elkin had a double, triple and two RBI.
