(St. Louis, MO) -- Matt Holliday and Matt Adams each doubled in a run as the Cardinals went on to a 4-1 win over the Marlins in St. Louis. Allen Craig also doubled in a run and added a sac-fly for the Cards, who have won two out of three after dropping four-of-five. Jake Westbrook tossed seven innings of one-run ball to improve to 5-and-3 while Edward Mujica notched his 22nd save. Jacob Turner surrendered four runs in six innings to fall to 2-and-1 for Miami. Logan Morrison popped a solo homer for the Fish, who had won eight out of ten coming in.

(Chicago, IL) -- Francisco Liriano tossed a complete-game four-hitter to lead the Pirates to a 6-2 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. The left-hander struck out seven and walked two while allowing two runs to improve to 8-and-3 on the season. Garrett Jones' RBI single snapped a 2-all tie in a three-run third inning to put Pittsburgh ahead for good. Starling Marte went 3-for-6 and scored twice for the Bucs. Jeff Samardzija gave up five runs in six frames to fall to 5-and-8 with the loss for Chicago. Scott Hairston hit a two-run homer in the second inning to account for the Cubs' scoring.

(St. Petersburg, FL) -- The Rays put up a five-spot on the White Sox in the second inning and cruised to an 8-3 at Tropicana Field. Jose Molina hit a two-run home run and Desmond Jennings had three hits and scored twice. Luke Scott added three hits, an RBI and a run scored. Jeremy Hellickson won his fourth straight start with seven innings pitched and one run allowed on six hits. He struck out nine to improve to 8-and-3. Josh Phegley drove in two runs for Chicago. Dylan Axelrod didn't make it out of the second inning and took the loss to fall to 3-and-5.
