Effingham Seniors Split With Macon County

Effingham Post 120 Seniors split victories with Macon County Tuesday evening in baseball action.

In the first game, Effingham fell 4-2. Macon County had 10 hits in the contest and was aided by three Effingham errors.

Effingham had four hits in the game, all singles by Hayes, Levitt, Urs and Ruckman. Hayes and Quandt had an RBI each.

In the second contest, Effingham made the most of five hits in a 5-2 victory over Macon County. Nate McDonald had a single and triple while Levitt, Wright and Walker had a single each. Albin had an RBI.

Effingham trailed Macon County 1-0 until the fifth when it tallied three runs then tacked on two more in the top of the seventh.
