(Flushing, NY)  --  David DeJesus knocked in three runs to help the Cubs top the Mets 6-3 in New York.  He left the game in the third with a sprained shoulder.  Anthony Rizzo was 3-for-4 with two runs scored for Chicago, which has won two straight.  Edwin Jackson struck out seven over six innings of one-run ball for the win.  Kevin Gregg locked up his eighth save.  Shaun Marcum dipped to 0-and-8 after giving up six runs in five-and-two-thirds frames.  David Wright was 3-for-3 while Daniel Murphy drove in two runs for New York, which has lost five-of-six.

(Miami, FL)  --  Giancarlo Stanton was 3-for-4 with two RBI for the Marlins as they defeated the Cardinals 5-4 in Miami.  Juan Pierre was 2-for-4 with a run scored for Miami, which has won four-of-six.  He added his 18th stolen base in the win.  Jose Fernandez struck out 10 over seven innings of three-run ball for the win.  Steve Cishek secured his eighth save.  Jake Westbrook returned from the DL but allowed five runs in as many innings for the loss.  He had been out since earlier May with an elbow injury.  Allen Craig was 2-for-4 with a run driven in and scored for St. Louis, which has lost two-of-three.

(Houston, TX)  --  The Astros scored a pair of unearned runs in the fifth inning to grab a 2-1 win over the White Sox at Minute Maid Park.  Ronny Cedeno scored on an error before Jose Altuve drove in a run on an infield single for Houston.  Erik Bedard surrendered an unearned run on three hits over six innings with six strikeouts to move to 2-and-3.  Jose Veras locked down his 12th save as the Astros won their second straight since a six-game slide.  Chris Sale struck out 14 and walked just one while scattering five hits and allowing the pair of unearned runs for the Sox.  He fell to 5-and-5 with the loss.  Adam Dunn had a sacrifice-fly for Chicago, which has dropped two straight since a three-game uptick.
