TOMORROW'S STARS KHOURY LEAGUE

Scott Mosher Country Insurance edged Russ Braunecker Oldsmobile 10-9 in the opening game at Community Park Wednesday evening.

The score was tied at 1-1 after two innings but Mosher came back with five in the third and three in the fourth to lead 8-2. Braunecker had a seven-run fifth to tie the score at 9-9. Mosher then won it with a run in the bottom of the fifth.

Joe Matteson had two singles, a double and an RBI for Mosher while Dalton Will had a single, a two-run homer and finished with three RBI. Gavin Sherrod had a double and drove in two runs. Cade Sprakties led Braunecker with a single, double, triple and two RBI while Gavin Wernsing had a double and drove in three runs.

In the second game, Prime Sole bounced Elks Club 15-5. Prime Sole tallied runs in all five innings behind 11 hits. Matt Hunzinger had two doubles, a triple and four RBI while Nathan Barnes had two singles, a double and four RBI.

CAL RIPKEN LEAGUE

Arab Pest Control opened the evening at Community Park in Cal Ripken League play by edging Rhodes Chiropractic 7-6.

Alex Talley pitched a two-hitter. Arab took a 4-2 opening inning lead and was never behind in this one. Nick Bishop had two singles, a double and drove in a run for the winners.

In the second contest, NAPA handed Dairy Queen a 6-2 loss. NAPA broke a 2-2 tie in the third with two runs then tacked on single runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Colin Koester had two singles and an RBI to lead the four-hit attack.

BABE RUTH PREP LEAGUE

Taylor Law stepped out to a 7-2 lead after two innings and went on for a 13-4 win over JCR Carpentry at Evergreen Hollow Park Wednesday.

Taylor Law had seven hits and was aided by five JCR Carpentry errors. Brett Koester had a single, double and drove in a run while Patrick Sherrod had two singles and three RBI.

In the second game, the Teutopolis Warriors blanked Niemerg Construction 10-0 in five innings. The Warriors had only three hits in the contest led by Lee Hardiek with a triple and four RBI. Kendall Ballman had a double and drove in three runs while Jack Goeckner had a double and an RBI. Tyson Magee had the lone hit for Niemerg with a single.

Bard Oseland picked up the one-hit pitching win.

Washington Savings Bank captured the lone Junior Babe Ruth League contest at Paul Smith Field Wednesday evening.

Kyle Pease pitched a three-hitter. Wasihngton Savings Bank banged out 11 hits led by Xander Calip and Austin Rexroad with a single, double and an RBI each. Lane Belleville and Blake Kitten had two singles each. Kitten added an RBI.

Lane Koenig and Cory Osborn had a double each for Midland States Bank.
