TOMORROW'S STARS KHOURY LEAGUE

Brown's Drug Store's magic number Monday evening was eight as the winners defeated Russ Braunecker 8-4 behind eight hits.

The score was knotted at 3-3 after two innings before Brown's brought home three runs to take the lead for good in the third. Ben Thompson pitched a three-hitter.

Brown's big hitters were Thompson with two singles, a triple and four RBI, Girhart with a single, double and an RBI and Antrim and Schuette with a double each. Sprakties led Braunecker with a single and triple.

In the second contest, Baseball Card Connection edged Prime Sole 4-3. Both teams tallied a single run in the first. Baseball Card Connection then brought home three runs in the fourth. Prime Sole attempted a comeback, scoring two runs in the sixth.

Brody Conkling was the winning pitcher on a four-hitter while Ty Wiedman suffered the tough-luck loss on a one-hitter. Baseball Card Connection's lone hit was a triple by Adams who also brought home three runs. Wiedman led Prime Sole with a single and double.

CAL RIPKEN LEAGUE

Kingery Printing jumped on Kemper CPA early with a 5-0 first inning lead and went on for a 15-3 victory.

Kingery banged out 16 hits in the contest led by Aaron Webb with a single, two doubles and an RBI, Tanner Gorden with two singles and an RBI, Chase Thies with two singles, a double and an RBI, Waylen Kollman with two singles and an RBI and Ty Morrissey with two singles and two RBI.

Lane Koester led Kemper with a double.

In the second game, Dairy Queen trailed Rhodes Chiropractic 2-1 after the first inning but came back for a 7-6 second inning lead then tallied three more in the third and one more in the fifth for an 11-7 victory.

Dairy Queen had 14 hits in the game led by Aiden Beck with four singles and three RBI, Noah Teasley with two singles, Jacob Blanchett with two singles, Nathan Shultz with a single, double and two RBI and Hunter Stephens with no hits but three RBI.

BABE RUTH PREP LEAGUE

JCR Carpentry and Teutopolis Mustangs picked up victories in Prep League action at Evergreen Hollow Park Monday evening.

JCR edged Niemerg Construction 9-8. Niemerg took a 4-1 first inning lead but JCR Carpentry came back with five runs in the bottom of the second to lead 6-5. Niemerg regained the lead in the top of the third with two runs but again, JCR regained the lead in the bottom of the frame with three runs and held on for the win.

Brandon Marschewski and Callaway Campton had two singles each. Campton added three RBI and Marschewski with two singles and two RBI. Jacob Zimmerman had a single and double for Niemerg.

In the second game, the Teutopolis Mustangs defeated Effingham Asphalt 12-3 behind five hits. Michael Deters had a single, double and two RBI for the winners.

JUNIOR BABE RUTH LEAGUE

Drs. Sehy & Jones and Tri-Power Towing claimed victories at Paul Smith Field, Community Park Monday evening.

Sehy & Jones trailed Mid-Illinois 3-0 after four innings then tallied four to take the lead in the top of the fifth and three more in the sixth for an 11-4 win. Donovan Hammer pitched the two-hitter.

Will Clausius and Caleb Wendt had two singles each. Wendt had two RBI and Clausius one. Taylor Martin had a single, double and two RBI.

In the second contest, Tri-Power Towing edged Tingley Insurance 8-7. Both teams had eight hits in the contest. Tingley led 5-2 after three innings before Tri-Power took the lead for good in the fourth with five runs.

Brian Ritz had a single, double and two RBI for the winners while Caleb Martin and Nick Dust had two singles each. Dust added two RBI and Martin one.

Tingley was led by Blake Nichols with two singles and an RBI and Landin Feezel with a single, triple and two RBI.
