Mattoon Post 88 Downs Shelby County

Mattoon Post 88 bounced Shelby County Posts 289/611/725 to the tune of 16-5 in baseball action Wednesday evening.

Shelby County held a 4-2 lead after three innings but Mattoon came back with four in the fourth, three in the sixth and seven in the seventh. Mattoon had 12 hits in the game including two home runs. Payton Hartbank had a single, home run and five RBI, Ian Snowden had a single, home run and an RBI, Ryan Hutchinson with a single, double and three RBI and Rhett Farmer with three singles and an RBI.

Shelby County was led by Gunner Theis with two singles, a double and an RBI, Luke Hatfield a home run and three RBI and Hayden Cole with a double.
