Kaskaskia Advances To Title Game in Region 24 Tourney

Kaskaskia opened up Region 24 Tournament action Saturday against No. 3 seed Rend Lake and came away 9-1 winners.
Nick Gardewine, an Effingham graduate, pitched the complete game win giving up six hits and striking out six. He is now 9-2 on the season.
Kyle Floyd, Windsor High School, went 4 for 4 with a double and five RBI.
KC then played Sunday against No. 1 seed Wabash Valley and won 11-1. Joey Coonrod was the winning pitcher.
KC now advances to the championship game today
at 3 p.m. against the winner of Rend Lake and Wabash Valley. Kaskaskia is now 35-10 on the season.
