Kyle Floyd Guides Kaskaskia To Doubleheader Sweep

Kaskaskia ended the regular season Tuesday with a doubleheader sweep of Southeastern Illinois College.
In game one, KC was down 6-2 going into the fifth but came storming back as it finally took the lead with a two out RBI single by Windsor standout Kyle Floyd to make it 7-6. Floyd added a two out two run triple in the sixth to give KC the 11-6 final.
In the second game, KC jumped out to a 4-2 lead through four and never looked back as it went on to win 12-2. Floyd ended the day going 5 for 5 with six RBI including a double and triple.
Kaskaskia ended the regular season with an overall record of 33-10 and finished in second place of the Great Rivers Athletic Conference with an 18-6 record, one game out of first. Kaskaskia starts tournament play Friday at 10 a.m., playing the winner of Thursday's game between Rend Lake and Lincoln Trail.
