Jared Waldhoff pitched a three-hit shutout and fanned nine in pitching the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes to a 4-0 victory over the St. Anthony Bulldogs Thursday night. The game at Wooden Shoe Field was heard on 979XFM.
The Shoes edged out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning, then tacked on two runs in the third and one more in the fifth. T-town had nine hits in the contest led by J. Waldhoff with a single and double, K. Pruemer with a double, A. Goldstein with two singles and an rBI and C. Will with two singles.
St. Anthony's Austin Bushur had a double while Ben Hecht had two singles for the only hits the Bulldogs had in the contest.
Teutopolis improved to 15-2 on the spring while St. Anthony dropped to 14-5. Hecht took the loss for the Bulldogs, who play both Decatur St. Teresa and St. Joe-Ogden Friday. The Wooden Shoes head to Marshall for a doubleheader Friday.
