Giants Rally Past Cubs

(Chicago, IL) -- The Giants scored four times in the fourth and three in the fifth to overcome a 5-0 deficit and beat the Cubs 7-6 at Wrigley Field. Scott Feldman was charged with six runs, but just two earned in less than five innings to fall to 0-and-2 for Chicago. Anthony Rizzo homered and Brent Lillibridge singled in two for the Cubs in defeat.  The Cubs sent Carlos Villanueva to the hill today against Matt Cain.

-- Cubs minor leaguer Jorge Soler is facing a five-game suspension and fine after charging an opposing dugout with a bat.  The incident occurred in Wednesday's Single-A game between the Daytona Cubs and Clearwater Threshers.  Cubs General Manager Theo Epstein says Soler regrets his actions. Benches cleared after a hard slide at second base. After everyone returned to the dugout, Soler grabbed a bat and charged toward the Clearwater dugout.  He was pulled away by others and ejected.

-- Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel isn't happy with someone's decision to leave a severed goat head at Wrigley Field. The goat head was delivered to Wrigley on Wednesday and turned over to police. It's not known why it was sent to owner Tom Ricketts, but it's been suggested it has to do with negotiations between the Cubs, the city and Wrigleyville owners on possibly renovating the stadium.  No arrests have been made.

Nats Sweep White Sox

(Washington, DC) -- The Nationals completed a three-game sweep of the White Sox with a 7-4 win at Nationals Park.  Chicago put up 13 hits, but left 11 runners on base. Adam Dunn and Alejandro De Aza each knocked in their fifth run of the season.  Dylan Axelrod took the loss, giving up six runs across three-and-two-thirds innings. The White Sox are 4-5. Jose Quintana throws for the Sox tonight against Justin Masterson as they open a three-game series with Cleveland.

-- White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham is expected to miss the next six weeks due to a fractured hamate bone in his left wrist. Beckham injured himself swinging at a pitch in the second inning of Chicago's 8-7 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday.  The White Sox initially believed the injury was just simple nerve irritation, but an MRI on Thursday revealed the fracture, which will require surgery to repair. Beckham was hitting .316 with an RBI and one run scored this season.

Cards Host Brewers

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Cardinals are back on the field tonight as they open a three-game series against the Brewers at Busch Stadium. Shelby Miller is expected to start opposite former Cardinals starter Kyle Lohse, who signed with Milwaukee last month. The Cards are 5-4 while the Brewers are off to a 2-6 start.

Dodgers Lose Greinke To Fractured Collarbone

(San Diego, CA) -- The Dodgers will be without Zack Greinke for the foreseeable future. According to the team's Twitter account, Greinke suffered a fractured left collarbone following a benches-clearing brawl.  San Diego Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin charged the mound after he was drilled by a fastball. This is Greinke's first season with the Dodgers after signing a six-year deal worth nearly $150-million this offseason.
