St. Anthony 2, Dieterich 1

In a heckuva pitching battle, the Bulldogs prevailed, scoring single runss in the third and fourth innings and totaling just four hits in the contest. Dieterich got their lone run in the sixth and amassed just two hits in the game. Dieterich was hampered by three errors.

Gavin Braunecker got the win for St. Anthony, allowing the run on two hits and three walks against 10 strikeouts. Colin Koester pitched a perfect seventh innings to preserve the win, striking out one batter.

Cole Niebrugge went the distance for Dieterich, allowing just one earned run on four hits and a walk with one strikeout.

At the plate for St. Anthony: Kaden Fearday drove in a run, Blake Niebrugge walked, Davis Tingley walked, Bryson Wall doubled and drove in a run, Hunter Stephens singled and scored a run, and Jack Hoene and Anthony Mendella each singled.

For Dieterich: Hunzinger and Niebrugge each singled, with Hunzinger driving in the lone Dieterich run; Will, Hunzinger and Niebrugge each walked.

St. Anthony improved to 8-1 on the season.

Teutopolis defeated Woodlawn 8-1, pounding out 13 hits.

The Wooden Shoes scored two runs each in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Mitch Hemmen got the win for Teutopolis, allowing the one run, which was unearned, on four hits, walking three and fanning seven. Brock Deters pitched the final two innings, giving up two hits and striking out two.

At the plate for Teutopolis: Tyler Runde doubled and scored; Mitch Hemmen doubled and singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run; Trenton Schwerdt singled twice and drove in a run; Clint Weber doubled and singled and scored twice; Mitch Hardiek singled and walked and scored a run; Dawson Smith drove in a run; Luke Ungrund doubled and singled twice, scored a run and drove in two runs; Evan Wermert walked twice; Evan Addis singled and walked, scored a run and drove in a run.

Teutopolis is now 9-1 this season.

In the battle of the Indians, Altamont won over Neoga 14-4 in six innings. A seven-run fourth inning keyed the win. Alek Biggs got the win in relief for Altamont, giving up just one hit and striking out seven. K. Eirhardt pitched the first three innings, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks while fanning four. 

Fearday pitched the first three innings for Neoga, allowing 10 runs, eight earned, on 11 hits and two walks with one strikeout. Moore pitched 2-1/3 innings, giving up four runs, three earned, on four hits and two walks with one strikeout. 

For Altamont: Biggs doubled and singled twice and drove in five runs; Hammer, Teasley, Guerrettaz and Cripe each had two hits, and Kuhlman, Robbins, Eirhardt and Reardon each had a hit. Teasley drove in two runs, Kuhlman, Hammer, Guerrettaz, Cripe and Eirhardt each drove in a run.

For Neoga: Moore and Lanham each had two hits, Young and Fearday each had a hit; Lanham drove in two runs, Keller drove in a run

Altamont improved to 6-3 on the season, 3-2 in the NTC.

North Clay defeated South Central 8-3.

Jones, Fleener and Burkett all worked on the mound for the Cardinals with Jones getting the win. Dodson took the loss for the Cougars. Lotz and Lybarger also pitched for South Central.

Jones, Burkett and Fleener each had two hits for North Clay and Clifton and McCrary each had a hit. McCrary drove in two runs, Jones, Clifton, and Ingram each drove in a run.

Patten and Lybarger had the two South Central hits. Lybarger drove in two runs, and Patten drove in the other run.

 A run in the seventh gave Windsor/Stew-Stras a 7-6 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.

Wernsing got the win for the Hatchets with 4-2/3 innings of relief, allowing four runs, just one earned, on three hits and six walks, fanning seven. Greuel went the first 4-1/3 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits and two walks while striking out six.

Manley, Hivety and Miller all pitched for the Bobcats. Manley went the first six innings, allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits and two walks against six strikeouts. Hilvety gave up two runs on one hit, but four walks, with one strikeout. Miller gave up the run in the seventh and took the loss, giving up one hit and two walks while striking out three.
