Still More Labor Day Weekend High School Scores

In other Labor Day weekend high school action:

South Central defeated Webber Township 11-1 Friday. Patten got the complete game win for the Cougars, allowing one unearned run on two hits with two walks against six strikeouts. Lotz had three base hits and drove in three runs, Lybarger doubled and singled and drove in two runs, and Dodson, Brandt, Patten, VanScyoc, Cowger and Roberts each had a hit. Cowger, Hiestand and Roberts each drove in a run.

South Central beat Neoga 5-2 on Friday. Hunter Brandt went the distance for the win for South Central, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and a walk with 11 strikeouts. Fearday went the distance for Neoga, allowing five runs, just two earned, on six hits with a walk against three strikeouts. Patten and Dodson both homered for South Central. VanScyoc and Roberts both had hits. For Neoga, Moore had two hits and Fearday got the other hit.

Dieterich won over St. Elmo/Brownstown 6-4. Dalton Will got the win in relief for Dieterich, following Hunzinger. The two combined for 12 strikeouts. McWhorter and Rosborough pitched for SEB. For Dieterich, Will had two hits, Hunzinger had two hits including a homer and drove in three runs, Niebrugge had two hits, and Hartke and Boerngen each had a hit. For SEB, Pruett and Atwood each had two hits, and Rosborough homered.

Altamont defeated CHBC 13-1 and 15-1 Friday. For Altamont, Robbins, Cripe and Hammer each had two hits and Kuhlman, Teasley, Biggs, Guerrettaz, Eirhart, Stuemke and Reardon each had a hit. Robbins and Cripe each drove in three runs, Biggs and Reardon each drove in two runs, and Teasley, Guerrettaz and Eirhart each drove in a run. For CHBC, Schlanser, Manley, Radloff, Clearwater, Miller and Robertson each had hits including Schlanser's double. Guerrettaz got the win in relief of Eirhart. Buzzard took the loss for the Bobcats.

In the 15-1 game, Eirhart got the win with relief help from Stuemke and Guerrettaz. Buzzard took the loss. For Altamont, Kuhlman, Teasley, Robbins, and Cripe each had two hits, and Biggs, Guerrettaz, Eirhart, Stuemke, Reardon and Hammer each getting a hit. Robbins and Cripe each drove in three runs, Kuhlman, Biggs and Reardon each drove in two runs, and Teasley, Guerrettaz and Eirhart each drove in a run. For CHBC, Schlanser, Manley, Radloff, Duff, Clearwater, and Miller each had a hit.

Teutopolis defeated Odin-Patoka 8-0 Friday. Mitch Hardiek went seven innings for the Wooden Shoes, allowing just two hits and two walks while fanning 12 batters. For Teutopolis, Runde doubled and singled, walked and drove in a run; Hemmen doubled and singled and drove in two runs; Smith singled; Weber doubled and drove in a run; Ungrund singled; Mitch Hardiek singled twice and drove in a run; J. Hardiek drove in a run; McMahon drove in a run.
