T-town Blanks Neoga, Dieterich Falls To Odin

NEOGA --Two pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter as Teutopolis High School blanked Neoga, 13-0 in five innings of baseball action Thursday.

Evan Addis and Luke Ungrund went the distance allowing no hits. Addis picked up the win on the mound, going three innings, allowing two walks and striking out three. Ungrund came on to throw two innings allowing one walk and three strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Wooden Shoes banged out 10 hits led by Clint Weber with a single, a grand slam home run and five RBI, Mitch Hemmen with a single, home run and three RBI and Mitch Hardiek with a home run and three RBI. Addis had a double.

T-town improved to 1-1 while Neoga dropped to 0-2.

At Odin

Odin/Patoka edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead but trailed Dieterich 4-3 after four innings. The score was tied at 5-5 until the bottom of the seventh when the Eagles tallied a run to beat Dieterich 6-5 in action Thursday.

Odin/Patoka had 11 hits in the contest led by Roberts with two singles, a double and an RBI.

Dieterich was led by Boerngen with three singles and an RBI, Hall with two singles and two RBI and Hunzinger with two singles.
