Effingham Post 120 Downs Newton

Effingham Senior Legion Post 120 defeated Newton, 7-6 at Evergreen Hollow Park Monday.

Brett Koester delivered a two-out hit to score the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Bryson Wall and Bryce Lohman collected three and two hits respectively for Post 120. Dylan Guy pitched the seventh inning to earn the save. Joe Kabbes was the winning pitcher.

Effingham will travel to Robinson Wednesday for its final contest before starting District Tournament play in Newton Saturday.
