Mark Jackley retired . . . but it wasn't for very long.

Jackley was recently named head baseball coach for Cumberland High School. Jackley had retired from Mattoon High School as teacher and coach but it was only a month before he accepted the Pirates head job.

Jackley put together 679 victories in his 29 years at Mattoon. He is in the IHSBCA Hall of Fame. He will take over the reins for Jim Talley who was head coach for 2 1/2 years at Cumberland.
