Louisville claimed a 12-8 win over Effingham Veterinary Clinic in Prep League baseball action Monday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Effingham Vet took a 4-0 first inning lead and led 8-2 after six. Louisville then broke loose with a 10-run seventh for the win.

Aiden Hartke had a single, double and an RBI while Conner Dawkins had a double and an RBI for the winners. Alex Bosse added three singles and Brennan Walk two singles and an RBI.

Leading Effingham Veterinary Clinic were Quest Hull, Brock Jansen and Logan Cornett with two singles each. Jansen had an RBI. Noah Dill had a single and four RBI.

In the second game, Louisville picked up another victory, this time beating Mid-Illinois Concrete, 5-2.

Louisville edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then had a three-run third and tacked on a final run in the sixth.

Dawkins had three singles for the winners while Ethan Kuestler had two singles and Hartke a single and four RBI.

Mid-Illinois Concrete had four singles by four different players.
