CHICAGO -- Baltimore jumped on Chicago White Sox starter Lucas Giolito and made it his shortest start of the season Thursday.

Giolito ended up allowing three straight walks and that produced the Orioles' first two runs. He gave up seven runs in a 9-3 loss. His ERA climbed to 7.53 and he now leads the American League in walks with 37 and hit batsmen with 10.

The White Sox were down 4-0 before they even came up to bat for the first time. And, the second inning was even worse as Giolito gave up home runs to Trey Mancini and Adam Jones. Jonathan Schoop singled and then Giolito hit Chris Davis and that was the end for him as he left the game.

The White Sox won't be sending Giolito down because he has shown signs of settling down in the later innings. Now if he can just get started on the right page.

On the opposite side, Baltimore starter Dylan Bundy put down the first 10 White Sox he faced and finished with a two-hitter. He struck out 14.

Astros' Reddick on DL

The Houston Astros have placed Josh Reddick on the 10-day DL with a leg infection. Reddick says he believes the infection is the result of a spider bite.
