RAMSEY -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City High School advanced in the Class 1A Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Baseball Regional Monday.
CHBC downed Ramsey, 5-3. Ramsey held a 1-0 lead in the first before CHBC moved ahead 2-1 in the top of the second. Ramsey tied in the bottom of the frame. The Bobcats broke the tie with a three-run top of the seventh.
Eddie Clearwater led the way offensively with three singles and two RBI. Jeff Stoldt contributed a double and an RBI.
Kaleb Doty threw a four-hitter with three walks and 10 strikeouts.
CHBC advances to face Effingham St. Anthony Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

At Brownstown
Brownstown/St. Elmo had an easy win over Red Hill (Bridgeport) in opening round play of the Class 1A South Central Regional Monday.
BSE stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back, ending the game in the sixth by a 14-4 count.
BSE also had 14 hits to go along with the 14 runs. Nate Philpot had a single, double, triple and six RBI while Lewis Brown had two singles and a double. Bryton Pruett and Jace McWhorter added two singles each while Caleb Atwood had a triple and an RBI and Wade Ireland a double and an RBI.
Philpot threw the victory allowing four hits, six walks and striking out 11.
BSE improves to 8-10 and will advance to face Odin Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Class 1A Dieterich Regional
Oblong and Cumberland were opening round winners in the Dieterich Regional Monday.
Oblong edged Oblong, 4-3 in the first game.
Cumberland then shut out Martinsville, 8-0. The Pirates took a 1-0 first inning lead, had a five-run third and a two-run sixth.
Alex Talley went five innings, allowing two hits and had seven strikeouts.
Brennyn Cutts hit a triple and a solo home run. Bryson Cutts added a single, double and two RBI. Talley added a double and two RBI.
Martinsville finished the season with a 1-17 record.
Oblong advances to face Neoga at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Cumberland will meet Dieterich at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Class 1A Woodlawn Regional
Webber Township (Bluford) and Woodlawn picked up opening round regional victories.
Webber Township edged Wayne City, 10-8.
In the second game, Woodlawn trounced Sandoval, 25-1.
Webber Township advances to face North Clay (Louisville) at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Woodlawn will take on Cisne at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Class 2A Vandalia Regional
Greenville handed Vandalia an 8-6 loss in the first game of the Vandalia Regional Monday.
Greenville advances to meet Breese Mater Dei at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. That game will be followed by Newton taking on Breese Central, at 6:30.
At Paris
Teutopolis trailed Paris 1-0 until the third inning then tallied three runs and that's how the scoring ended in the Wooden Shoes favor, 3-1.
T-town had nine hits led by Eric Kremer with a home run and two RBI, Lee Hardiek with three singles and an RBI, Collin Funneman with a single and double and Clint Weber two singles.
The Shoes ended regular season play with a 24-6 record. Mitch Hardiek picked up the pitching win allowing three hits, three walks and striking out three for a 2-0 record. Mitch Hemmen picked up the save going two innings, allowing one hit and one walk.
Paris dropped to 25-2 on the season. Austin O'Neal suffered his first pitching loss and is 6-1.
T-town will compete in its own regional Wednesday against Flora.
