DIETERICH -- Ramsey took the early lead but Dieterich High School came back and ended the game in the sixth via the 10-run rule, 12-2 Thursday in baseball action.

The Movin' Maroons were a hitting machine with 14 in the contest. Bryce McClain led the way with two singles, a double and four RBI. Paul Thoele added a single, double and two RBI. Matthew Hunzinger, Callaway Campton and Devin Flach had two singles and an RBI each.

Cole Niebrugge was the winning pitcher on a four-hitter with two walks and six strikeouts.

Altamont ran off to a 7-0 first inning lead and finished this contest in the fifth, 15-0. The big story of the day was Jacob Hammer throwing a no-hitter.

Hammer went all five innings, gave up five walks and struck out seven.

Meanwhile, the Indians had eight hits led by Noah Teasley with two singles. Dakota Kuhlman, Kaleb Whitt and Wyatt Vaughn had a single and two RBI each.

Altamont improves to 5-6 on the season.

Newton pounded Lawrenceville to the tune of 14-1 in five innings Thursday.

The Eagles broke a 1-1 tie after two innings with a three-run third then tallied five in the fourth and five in the fifth to end the game.

Wagy had a double, home run and three RBI for the winners while Stark had two singles, a home run and two RBI. R. Cohorst added two singles, two doubles and five RBI.
