Bulldogs Shut Out Webber Twp., Neoga Downs CHBC

Two Effingham St. Anthony High School pitchers combined to throw a shutout as the Bulldogs defeated Webber Township (Bluford), 10-0 in six innings Thursday.
Joseph Kabbes went 3.2 innings, allowed two hits, no walks and three strikeouts. Dylan Guy threw the final 2.1 innings, allowing one hit and one walk.
The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, then had a three-run fourth, a two-run fifth and a three-run sixth.
St. Anthony had 11 hits led by Adam Levitt with a double, home run and three RBI. Kabbes added two singles, a triple and two RBI while Austin Kline had a single, double, triple and an RBI.

Neoga took the early lead and went on to down Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 10-0 in five innings.
The Indians led 1-0 after the first and 2-0 after three. Neoga had a six-run fourth and a two-run fifth.
Hill was the winning pitcher, going three innings, allowing no hits, two walks and striking out four.
Hill aided his own cause with a single, double, home run and four RBI. Banning added a single and double, Lacy a double and two RBI and Fearday two singles and an RBI.
