TEUTOPOLIS -- Casey-Westfield Junior High School ended Teutopolis' season Saturday in the Class 2A Teutopolis Baseball Sectional.
Casey-Westfield took a 2-0 lead in the second inning. T-town came back with a run in the fourth and tied the score in the sixth. The game went into the eighth and Casey-Westfield scored three runs to pull out a 5-2 victory and earn a trip to state.
T-town had four hits in the contest led by Schmidt with a double and an RBI. The Wooden Shoes committed three errors.
Casey-Westfield had six hits led by Overbeck with two singles, a double and an RBI.
Casey-Westfield advanced to the Class 2A State Tournament at Eastside Centre in East Peoria Friday and will face Beecher at noon. C-W has a 15-4 record while Beecher is 12-6.

At Neoga
North Clay (Louisville) captured the championship of the Class 2A Neoga Sectional Saturday.
North Clay defeated Effingham St. Anthony 10-3 in seven innings. North Clay advances with a 17-5 record to the Class 1A State Tournament.
North Clay will face Joliet St. Paul (16-1) at 2 p.m. Friday Eastside Centre in East Peoria.
At Aviston
Altamont Lutheran Inter-Parish downed Patoka 9-2 in Friday action in the Class S Aviston Regional.
Thanks to six runs in the fourth inning, ALIS advances to the regional championship Monday to face host Aviston for the right to advance to the Class A State Tournament.
Hayden Siebert had a triple in that big inning while Gage Wendling added a double.
In the bottom of the third, the Rockets tied things up at 1-1. Mason Robinson grounded out, scoring one run.
ALIS took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth. Hayden Siebert tripled, driving in one run. Gage Wendling doubled, driving in another run. Two Patoka errors scored three more runs.
ALIS had 12 hits in the game. AJ Kopplin, Tyler Robbins, Siebert and Nathan Stuemke had two hits each.
In the other contest Friday, Aviston pounded Selmaville 19-0. The winner of the Monday contest advances to the Class S State Tournament Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against either Cobden or Joppa.
