An early lead helped Effingham St. Anthony High School defeat Ramsey 20-2 in action Monday.
Austin Kline, Adam Levitt, Bryson Wall and Davis Tingley had a single each in the opening inning as the Bulldogs leaped ahead 7-0. Five more runs came across in the second frame. The Bulldogs then scored eight in the third and they ended it in the fifth via the 10-run rule.
Gaven Braunecker earned the pitching win. He went two innings, allowed one hit, did not walk a batter and struck out four.
The Bulldogs had 15 hits in the contest led by Kline, Joseph Kabbes and Jacob Guy with a single and a double each. Guy had one RBI and Kline had two. Levitt added two singles and two RBI while Tingley contributed two singles and three RBI.

Teutopolis pushed its record to 12-1 on the season with a 10-0 win over South Central in five innings Monday.
The Wooden Shoes' Lee Hardiek threw a one-hitter with one walk and three strikeouts to improve his record to 3-0.
Seven hits were extra base for the Shoes. Jansen had a double, home run and two RBI while Dust had a home run. Thoele added a single, double and an RBI while Hardiek had a single, double and two RBI. Goeckner had a double and Kremer a double and two RBI.
Blomberg had the lone hit for the Cougars with a single. South Central dropped to 3-5.
